Goat Milk Body Butter – Five Uses!

Goat milk body butter is more than just a moisturizer.

It’s holiday market time here in the gulf coast area of Texas and that means that almost every weekend I’m out and about meeting shoppers from all over our area.

As you might guess, they always ask me if there are any other uses for each of my products. I love to tell them of the many benefits of my goat milk body butters and lotions, so today I’ll share them with you.

My favorite ways to use Goat Milk Body Butter.

1. Moisturizer. But not just any moisturizer.

My body butter is gentle enough to use under the eye area. Just use your ring finger when applying to this delicate area.

Not only is the body butter great for your face in drier climates, but you can also apply a heaping teaspoonful to your heels after taking a long hot shower or bath. Then, cover your feet with some warmed spa socks. Now, sit back and relax with a cup of tea and a great book. You’re welcome! 🙂

2. Leave-In Hair Conditioner

Rinse your hair with warm water and apply a quarter size amount to the ends of your hair. Leave on for at least 10 minutes and then shampoo and rinse as normal. Viola! Super soft and shiny hair. Be sure to choose your favorite fragrance for awesome aromatherapy benefits.

3. After Shaving

One of my customer’s husbands uses my body butter every morning after he shaves as part of his daily routine. The non-greasy formula softens skin and provides a barrier against pollutants and our drier winter air.

4. Beard Conditioner

Notice my husband in the photo above? Check out that beard! He uses my body butter in his beard daily and it keeps the hair (and the skin hiding underneath) soft and moisturized.  My favorite fragrance for daytime is lavender lemongrass – bright and fresh. In the evening, I prefer the lavender scent.

5. Deodorant

People that must endure chemotherapy and radiation need so much moisture all over their bodies before, during, and after treatment.  And since no antiperspirant is allowed during treatment, the body butter not only moisturizes those underarms, but acts as a natural protective barrier to deter bacteria.  The lactic acid in the milk and the essential oils help the body repel odor-causing bacteria. Now, I would not say that the body butter will work very well as a deodorant in July or August – while outside mowing lawns – not in southeast Texas, for sure!

As always, do your research and be sure to check with your doctor before using any new products.
